UCI JUNIOR SERIES XCO

Junior Series is the highest level of official XCO competitions for young riders. Race takes place on the standard XCO course: technical track full of obstacles, fast descents and challenging uphills. The first lap (start lap) leads along a wide forest road (for better overtaking opportunities) and is followed by a predetermined number of regular laps (established by the UCI Commissioner before the race according to the actual conditions on the track).

  • Team zones are situated close to the entrance into the Vysočina Arena. 

  • For using the service of the official Team Zone each team needs to be registered through the UCI (either as an Elite MTB TEAM / UCI MTB TEAM / National federation).

  • Non-registered teams with an interest for being parked in the Team Zone, please get in touch via email at filip.reiskup@mtbnmnm.cz

Permanent availability of the event doctor starts from Thursday. May 23 10:00 am and ends on Sunday, May 26 5:00 pm.

  • Women Juniors (born 2006-2007)

Entry criteria 
  • Entry is open to any UCI Junior license holder

  • Having obtained at least 20 UCI points (for riders in Europe) or 1 UCI point (for riders outside Europe) in the latest UCI XCO individual junior ranking is mandatory

  • National federations may enter a maximum of 5 supplementary riders per category (outfit for these riders is at the discretion of the national federation)

  • Except Europe, the national federations, of the same continent where the event takes place, may enter a maximum of 5 supplementary riders per category (outfit for these riders is at the discretion of the national federation)

  • The national federation of the organizing country, after consultation with the event organiser and considering the suitability of the course, may register supplementary riders from that country for team B. The maximum number of these additional riders, the selection criteria used to select them, and the uniform they race in is at the discretion of the national federation but must be clearly defined on the event website.

  • Riders belonging to a UCI ELITE MTB TEAM or a UCI MTB TEAM.

  • Until Sunday, May 19, 11:59 pm: 1250 CZK / 50 EUR

  • After Sunday, May 19: 2000 CZK  / 80 EUR (late booking fee of 750 CZK / 30 EUR automatically applies)

Riders Confirmation

Before you are allowed to train on the race course, it is essential to first pick up your starting number at Riders Confirmation. You will not be allowed on the course without a number.

Thursday, May 23:

  • 9:45 – 10:00 / National federations

  • 10:00 – 13:00 / All riders

Friday, May 24:

  • 8:00 - 10:00 / All riders

Start order

The start order is determined as follows:

1. As per the most recently published UCI XCO juniors individual ranking of the current season (or the final ranking of the previous season if no ranking has yet been published for the current season). >> All riders with UCI points, regardless of how they have been registered or have met the entry criteria. This will include the following:

  • Individual rider with at least 20 points (for riders in Europe) or 1 point (for riders outside Europe) Union Cycliste Internationale December 2023 Page 3 / 4

  • Riders registered by the national federation, TEAM A with at least 1 UCI point

  • Riders registered by the national federation of the organizing country, TEAM B with at least 1 UCI point

  • Riders belonging to a UCI ELITE MTB TEAM / UCI MTB TEAM with at least 1 UCI point

2. Unclassified riders by rotation: The start order of the riders within the team must be confirmed by the teams during the rider’s confirmation. The start order among the teams is determined as follows:

  • First, national teams whose order is determined by the nations’ classification of the concerned category from the most recent world championships.

  • Second, unclassified national teams whose order is determined by drawing lots.

  • Third, UCI ELITE MTB TEAMS whose order is determined by the most recent team ranking.

  • Last, UCI MTB TEAMS whose order is determined by the most recent team ranking. The teams (in the order as mentioned above) are taken in turn with the teams’ first riders starting in sequence, then the teams’ second riders etc.

3. Unclassified riders team B of the national federation of the organizing country:

  • drawing lots.

  • SOS telephone number in the application form = person with the riders' valid ID and insurance card who is present in the race venue.

  • Each rider has a limit of 1 person for technical support (to be picked up in the accreditation office).
